This week I had the privilege of attending the opening of Paris in a Bite, a new French cafe/bakery in Westlake’s Davenport Village. Owned and operated by husband and wife team Pierre and Olivia, the space is clean and bright, with French cafe chairs and bistro tables indoors and out.
The menu includes champagne, wine, and coffee, as well as caviar and assorted freshly made croissants and other pastries.
There is also a gorgeous assortment of Italian nougat candy and Swiss artisan chocolates.
All of that would be more than enough to bring me to Paris in a Bite, but in addition to these delightful offerings, they have macarons. Amazing, glorious, beautiful macarons: lavender, vanilla, coffee, raspberry, matcha, lemon, birthday cake (!), chocolate, rose lychee and violet cassis, even cookies and cream!
Let’s just have some pure, unadulterated macaron love for a moment.

Where was I? Oh, yes. Delicious treats.
Considering the Texas icons decorating the macaron boxes, I doubt very much that it’s a coincidence there’s so much orange in here. And it works.
These cookies are almost too pretty to eat. But I’d be willing to try.

But first, one more gratuitous picture of macarons. These came home with me. One is lavender, the other, pistachio. They were absolutely incredible, especially the lavender one.
